True…go for financial aid first….but once you get to the upper degrees..mds,
pharmd etc you cannot get financial aid/grants and when you are an intern there
is no way to work also and go to school so student loans are the only way to
accomplish your goals unless your parents are rich. my best friend was a single
parent and attended college for 8 years to achieve her PharmD. Her income is
nice now but she had 1200 a month student loan payemnts because her income she
doesnt get the lower interest rates. Thankfully she gets a loan forgiveness by
working at a Low income at need Critical access Hospital and gets the HUGE
re-payment of $25,000 a year for 4 years.
