1 1/4 cups sugar, divided
3 Tbs cornstarch
4 Tbs strawberry gelatin
1 cup boiling water
1 pint strawberries, wahsed, capped (stems removed), & halved
1 baked 9 inch pie crust
1/2 pint whipping cream
In saucepan combine 1 cup sugar, cornstarch & gelatin. Add boiling water & stir to dissolve. Bring to a boil & remove from heat.
Refrigerate until thick. Add strawberries & pour filling into crust. Whip cream, beat in remaining 1/4 cup sugar & spread over pie. Refrigerate.
