1 teaspoon ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
8 chicken drumsticksSpray grill grids with cooking spray and heat to medium-high heat. In a small bowl, stir together mustard, salt, chili powder, pepper, and brown sugar. Brush drumsticks with the oil and pat about 3/4 teaspoon of the dry mixture onto each, leaving the bone bare. Repeat with remaining drumsticks. Grill the drumsticks, turning every few minutes until cooked through, about 10 to 12 minutes total. Wrap a sturdy paper napkin around the lower bone. Repeat with remaining drumsticks; serve 2 “pops” to each person.
Notes: use the same spice mixture on other grilled meats such as steaks and pork chops.
Number of Servings: 4 servings
