This is another great treat for home, but it can also be given as a gift. If there is a Sams near you, you can get a 2 lb pag of pecans for about $10. That’s a pretty good deal. 8oz of pecans at the grocery store is around $6.

      2 Tbs water
      1 egg, separated
      2 cups pecans
      1/2 cup sugar
      3/4 tsp salt
      1 tsp cinnamon
      1/4 tsp cloves
      1/4 tsp nutmeg

Beat egg white with water, stir in pecans. In separate bowl, stir dry ingredients. Sprinkle spice mixture over nuts & mix well. Spray cookie sheet. Spread mixture on cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool & store in airtight container.

      LOL! That’s funny! 🙂

Yes, you could absolutely use other nuts. I bet walnuts would be good with this. I’ve also done mixed nuts.

It’s also quite good with almonds, but not so much with filberts.
