1 pkg.dry yeast 1 1/2 C. warm water 1 TBSP. sugar 1 shortening 1 tsp. salt 4 cups flour
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar and shortening. Mix in salt and flour. Knead 2 minutes. Let rise 1 hour. Roll 1/4 inch thick and cut in triangles. Fry in fat heated to 420F degrees. Serves 8-10. Dust with sugar if desired and serve with honey.
