It never occured to me that you could order a guest tray while staying with someone in the hospital. What a terrific idea!
I thought your only options were eating in the Cafeteria or hauling in toxic fast food. I learned something new today that I wish I had knownsooner as my DH had major back surgery (fusion w/hardware), pacemaker implant, and rotator cuff surgery in the past 15 months; my dad had 2 hospitalizations for kidney issues, and I’ve sat many an hour with various members of our churchwho have had extended hospitalizations this past year.

Usually if you have a parking ticket You can get the MD’s office tostamp the
parking ticket and you won’t have to pay for parking.
Ask the social worker about a cheap apartment?
If you stay w/ your son you can order a guest tray sent up w/ his tray.
