Another member of this group sent me this recipe:
deluxe crockpot oatmeal
2 cups milk 1 cup oats
1 cup finely chopped apple 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or almonds
1/2 cup raisins and/or dates 1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp butter, melted 1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Grease the inside of Crockpot. Put ingredients inside Crockpot and mix
well. Cover and turn on low heat. Cook overnight or 8-9 hours.
Stir
before serving. Makes 4 Cups (6-8 servings)
I tried it this morning (put everything to cook last night) and it was
DELICIOUS!!!!
I used steel cut oats instead of regular oats, so had to double
everything b/c 1 cup steel cut oats makes 4 cups oatmeal. And,
knowing certain members of my family and their picky eating habits, I
had to omit the apple & raisins. STill it came out great!!!
