      Give the gift from your kitchen…storable ingredients and a recipe card with, if you can afford it a gift certificate for the fresh ingredients…I do this for all sorts of occasions and this is one of the most appreciated!
      Slow-Cooker Shredded Chicken Tacos
      You give:
      16-oz jar chunky salsa
      1 pkg taco seasoning mix (or your own dry mix)
      1 pkg, 24 crunchy taco shells
      Your recipient purchases:
      2 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts
      4 cups shredded lettuce
      4 tomatoes, finely chopped
      8 oz shredded Colby & Monterey Jack Cheeses
      Recipe card:
      Mix salsa and taco seasoning in slow cooker until blended. Top with chicken. Cover with lid.
      Cook on low 6 to 8 hours (or on high 3 to 4 hours). Remove chicken from slow cooker, reserving sauce in slow cooker. Shred chicken with fork. Return to slow cooker. Stir until chicken is evenly coated with sauce.
      Bake taco shells as directed on package. Fill with chicken mixture. Top with remaining ingredients.
