Nothing could be simpler. The only recommendation I would make is to use an oven because in the microwave, you don’t get that burnt sugar taste.
Pick as many large sweet potatoes as you have guests, bake til almost done, split open (just the tops, sprinkle with a crumble made of brown sugar and butter (not margarine), get some in the split and bake til done. it doesn’t have to be a lot, you just want the moisture from the butter and the burnt sugar taste lightly. then, serve and let guests add as much butter if any, as they want.
