Simple Raised Garden Bed Idea

Here’s a simple raised garden bed idea that I came across. You have to lay out the bricks and then cover the area with cardboard. Make sure that it’s completely covered before you add your bags of soil and compost blend, then plant the seeds.

This will keep weeds out for 1 season.

Be careful not to get cinder blocks if you are growing vegetables… (fine for flowers) they contain chemicals which will leech into your garden soil/vegetables… also be careful if you’re using old pallets in your garden…

make sure they aren’t made from “treated” wood…

Yeah, the video stated it wrong, you need to make sure you use concrete blocks, not cinder blocks. concrete blocks are made of pure concrete. basically that means the aggregates used are finely crushed stone or sand.
cinder blocks are also made from concrete, but the aggregate includes either coal cinders or ash which can leach chemicals into your food!
