Here’s one that I got out of a family cookbook. It’s relatively cheap to make and tastes great.
4 potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
4 carrots, cut into thin coins
1 lg. onion, sliced thin
3/4 c. cooked rice, regular or instant
1-2 (8 oz.) can tomatoes, tomato soup or tomato juice
1 lb.
hamburger
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Layer the veggies and shake on rice. Layer on hamburger and pour on tomatoes. Cover.
Bake at 375 degrees for about an hour or until fork tender.
