      12.0pt;font-family:Verdana;color:windowtext;”>Our school
decided to make it “easy” for the parents this year.

      For only
$55, they would purchase everything your child would need for the entire year,
taking the “stress off of the parent of trying to find just the right
color or size of what every” (Prang only watercolors, Crayola only
      crayons, etc)
      12.0pt;font-family:Verdana;color:windowtext;”>
      20.0pt;font-family:Verdana;color:windowtext;”>Excuse me…..$55????
      Per child????
      20.0pt;font-family:Verdana;color:windowtext;”>
      12.0pt;font-family:Verdana;color:windowtext;”>Not on our
      budget!

There is no way. The teachers really are out so much on
school supplies that is not provided by the schools.

      Her home room
teacher last year kept receipts of supplies and money she was out and she told
me it totaled over $250 just in one year.

      12.0pt;font-family:Verdana;color:windowtext;”>Wal-mart (I know
there are those of you that hate to shop there), Big Lots, Staples, Office
Depot…all those places usually run really good sales.

      I have a ton
of spirals I bought from Staples for $.05 each last year.
      12.0pt;font-family:Verdana;color:windowtext;”>
      12.0pt;font-family:Verdana;color:windowtext;”>Also, there are
several churches (at least around here) that offer free school supplies, in a
carnival and fun atmosphere. I know our church is collecting supplies to
deliver to the poorer schools and they are having a mission trip to go to these
schools and actually work on getting the playground and the schools ready so
the kids have a safe and fun place to play. Sorry, back off topic, check
for churches in your area if you are financially challenged.

      I would buy
what I could afford and forget the rest. I searched one year for Prang
water colors and finally found them. I paid almost $4 for them, and they
never even used the dang things!

Now that I was ticked about.
