Rust Stains on formica

  What do you ladies suggest for rust stains on formica? I had another
  lady on another list tell me to try lime away, but is there something
  I can try w/stuff here at home? I have tried making a paste of
  baking soda & letting it soak – it only faded the stain. Then I
  tried sprinkling salt over it & then pouring just enour vinager over
  it that it started to bubble & fizz. After a wahile I scrubbed, & it
  faded the stain more, but it is still there.
  
  Any suggestions?
