      Rose Hip Marmalade

      1 pound fresh rose hips
      2 cups white sugar

      Soak the hips for 1 hour in cold water. Then bring to a boil, and boil
      for 15 minutes. Strain off the liquid, and for every cup of liquid, add
      one cup of sugar.

      Boil down to a thick syrup. Add the rose hips and boil
      again until tender. Place in sterilized jelly jars and seal.
