almost dump and run…gotta stick around for and hour and then dash out of the door;-) ROAST CHICKEN 3-4lb roasting chicken salt and pepper parsley butter sage or tarragon (optional) Thoroughly wash chicken and pat dry (this ensures that the chicken will brown). Sprinkle cavity generously with salt, pepper and parsley. Place in crock pot. Dot chicken breast with butter. Sprinkle with parsley and sage or tarragon if desired. Cover and cook on HIGH 1 hour then turn to LOW for 8-10 hours.
