Best is homemade rice stuffing. I don’t follow a set recipe as it depends what I have in and who is going to be eating it. Some of my family prefer it with more sausage some prefer more of the other ingredients. I brown the sausage meat and cook the rice first. Then I start to mix it all together. In go a few apples and onions chopped up small. A few cans of water chestnuts (unless I forget) also chopped up small. Spices depend on how I’m feeling but always garlic, oregano and some basil. Can be stuffed in the turkey or cooked on it’s own and sometimes I make so much I have to do both. Some days my family will be eating it before I even put it in the oven. Doesn’t seem to matter how much I make it is always gone within a few days.
