      I’m not the one you asked, but I can share mine. I cook dry pinto beans
      with onions and garlic and salt and pepper. Instead of actually “refrying
      them”, which uses oil, I simply mash up some of the cooked beans until they
      are the desired consistency. This saves the extra calories of oil — for
      those watching such things.

      Cooking dry beans is usually cheaper than buying canned ones. You can add
      any other spices like a little chili powder, OR leave out the garlic or
      onions that I add. I think my homemade refried beans taste better than the
      store bought canned ones.
