1 lb lean ground beef
1 package macaroni and cheese
1 med white onion, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 tbsp butter
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
salt and pepper
Cook macaroni and cheese to directions on box up to straining part. Once strained, put macaroni back into saucepan and add butter, milk, and cheese package. Set to low setting; mix in cheese package until dissolved.
Cover and let sit on low. Once you start boiling water you can begin to prepare the meat mixture. Heat a med to large non stick skillet to medium heat.
Pour about 1 tablespoon olive oil into skillet and add onion. Cover and sweat for about five minutes. Turn heat to medium-high heat and add ground beef.
Add 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning, salt and pepper to taste. Toss in garlic and cook meat until browned and cooked through. Then quickly drain out extra juice and add back to skillet on low heat.
Spoon in macaroni and cheese and mix through. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over top, and cover for about two minutes. Then serve.
