You can rent a car on a debit card just fine. My debit card acts just like a MasterCard in that purpose.
dr actually advocates using the old-fashioned green stuff and not even the debit. you might try that for awhile and just keep the debit at home for those “car rental emergencies”.
but definitely kill the cc. check out you tube on dave ramsey for all the cool ways people destroy their ccs. i like the guy who shoots his….

Other than the rental car problem, is there any other reason why I must
have a credit card? can a person really get by with just a debit card
and maybe a pre-paid visa? i just want to get out of this hell.
