      Yes, it does. When you turn the A/C on, the dryer turns on. It sucks all the moisture out of the air. When you turn the defroster on, you want the dryer on (whether it is blowing hot or cold air). So, the A/C is turned on – just for the dryer part.

      It shouldn’t turn on the air if you have the temp setting high.
