I am a licensed property and casualty agent. In my opinion I would never
carry a deductible that low–you would be AMAZED at how much you can save by
jumping up to a $500 comprehensive and collision deductibles. On my home I
always do $1,000.
If you have a lien holder on your vehicle I have never seen one that does
not require you to carry collision insurance. Because this protects “them”
in the event of an accident. So before doing this—I would definitely call
them first or review your paperwork.

I’ve learned today my liability coverage decreased. I also learned
my collision, rental and comprehensive coverages increased $83.53 for
6 months keeping the $250 deductibles for each.
