There is a button on the actual mechanism to open the garage door (hanging from the ceiling). After you change the code, you must press that button for it to work. The light by the button will blink. Then put the code back into the pad and press the * or # key and it will open the door. I am thinking there is a format you have to enter the new code in on the pad, but that would be in your info booklet for the pad.
I have a Sears model (incl the pad), and they pretty much all work the same. From: Budget101_@yahoogroups.com [mailto:Budget101_@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of M F

We tried changing it and now we can’t open the door without the door opener.
The garage door is by Stanley and the pad on the side of the door is Clicker. How do we find out how to change our code number on the pad.
