I love my slow cooker. Its been a life saver at home, but I worry about the light bill. I will try the pressure cooker. If you know of any recipes or pressure cooker cookbooks please let me know. I will let you know how the pressure cooker turns out. Thanks.

I have fallen in love with my pressure cooker! I was reciently given
one along with a brief explination of how to use it. I tried it for
the first time last night and made the best bbq I have ever had. The
best part is that it only took about 40 minutes instead of hours!
How could I not have known about this wonderful invention??? I
always said I was in love with my slow cooker, but I think I’ll have
to have an affair with the pressure cooker now. LOL! Does anyone
have pressure cooker recipies? I’ve seen a lot for soups and stews,
but I know it makes other stuff too. Any suggestions?
By the way, for the bbq, all I did was brown some boneless pork ribs
in a dab of olive oil and minced garlic. Then, I added about a half
a cup of water and a big blob of bbq sauce (maybe 1/4-1/2c). Sealed
it up and once it hit pressure, I cooked it for about 40 minutes.
When it was done, I put the meat in a bowl and
shreaded it with a
fork (fell apart easily). It was so flavorful that it didn’t need
anything added to it. It was fabulous! Oh, and I cooked it on the
burner of my grill, so that while it was cooking it didn’t heat up my
kitchen and I got to float in my pool.
I have heard pressure cooking saves more energy than slow cooking
because it’s so much faster. Does anyone know if this is true?
