Throughout November the Portraits of Love Project is offering free portraits for families of deployed US military personnel in over 250 locations across the country. Coordinated by the PMDA, a photography trade organization, the Portraits of Love Project is aiming to ship 10,000 FREE FAMILY PORTRAITS to deployed troops in time for the holidays.
we know that a family photograph means so much to a soldier, especially during the holiday season. That’s why the Portraits of Love Project was born.
We’ve put together a network of photographers who have agreed to donate their time from October 1, 2010 through November 30, 2010 to take a free portrait of families whose loved ones will be serving overseas this holiday season. Photos will be uploaded to a website where you can have your photo sent directly to your soldier for free! It’s our way of saying thank you to the brave men and women who defend our country. You will also be able to receive a free copy of the portrait for yourself!
There are two ways to participate in this offer:
■Visit a JC Penney Portrait Studio from October 1, 2010 through October 31, 2010.
■Contact a local photographer near you from our network of participating photographers from October 1, 2010 through November 30, 2010
Here’s all you have to do to have your free portrait sent:
1.Click below to find a listing of participating photographers in your area.
2.Call or e-mail the JCPenney Portrait Studio or local photographer (or military base) to set up an appointment. (You will need to present a valid military ID in order to participate in this program – please follow the specific instructions for military base sign-ups)
3.Have your portrait taken (starting September 1st)
4.The photographer will give you a card that will provide instructions on how to order the image you want to send to your soldier.
5.You will also get a coupon to receive a duplicate print for yourself for free (compliments of FUJIFILM and JCPenney Portrait Studios).
