Pinto Beans and corn bread
1lb of pinto beans ($1.50)
ham hock or ham pieces from your Christmas ham (leftovers)
1 onion ($.50)
i box of jiffy bread ($.99)
Wash pinto beans then put in pot with water to cover beans. Add ham and chopped onion. Cook until done.
Salt and pepper as desired and add water as needed so they are not super thick. My husband likes them a little thicker than soup. Ladle beans over cornbread.
