Peculiar Tasting Ice – In Freezer Ice Maker

I say the same thing about our ice.I would think it’s from the water hose that goes to the freezer.I’m not sure but I’ll be reading to find out why.

I am hoping someone in this group may have a suggestion. My DH has been complaining that the ice I have been putting in his beverages has a “defrost” or “odd” flavor. My refrige has the ice maker in the freezer compartment, not the door. I have cleaned the freezer with baking soda without any success in changing the ice flavor. I thought maybe it was picking up odors from the food being stored. Any ideas what could be causing this and how to remedy?? Many thanks. Alisa
