      HI,
My name is Kathy and I live in PA near Lake Erie. My main financial goal is to
pay off as much debt as possible and not have to go back to work full time. I
had worked full time for many years (over 17 since graduating from college) and
lost my job in November 2002. I have been working just part time on the weekends
and collecting unemployment. I don’t want to go back to work full time ever
unless I really have to and certainly don’t until my ds5 goes to kindergarten in
the fall. I have been working at paying off my debt and want to be debt free
(except for my house payment) by around November of this yr.

Even though I’m making less money with my unemployment and a dinky part time
job, I am doing better with not overspending. I think that is b/c I’m not so
stressed out and not needing “retail therapy” to make me feel better. I also am
not paying a sitter either – but our health insurance costs did triple when we
had to move to my dh’s employer for that.

I look forward to any new ideas to help out with my goals and getting to know
      you all.
      Kathy
