I have an orbit chaise lounger that spends entire life outside. The sun is brutal to the fabric and it breaks down after a few years. These cushions are very expensive to replace.

I was thinking of making a cover for it. It should be fairly easy, but the question is…what kind of material do it use? I need something that can withstand the hot sun rain and heavy winds.

It does get put up in the winter time so freezing temps are not a problem.

Thank you in advance for any and all ideas.

You can get upholstery material that has a rubberized backing to keep it protected. There’s a tutorial here on the site that I read last summer:

maybe that will help give you some ideas!

My neighbour also had the same query. Your material selection is very important. Refer the link it may help you.
