That’s sort of the way it goes at our house as well. If they can take time towrite outa graduation invitation to net a gift, then I think they can take time towrite outa thank you note. Having said that, my stepson did neither when he graduated this year..no invitations and no thank you’s…and family still sent gifts.btw he’s also entering the military in a week or so- air force.
if he’s old enough to fight for his country, he’s old enough to do the right thing and send notes when gifts are received. if he chooses to not send notes/make calls to thank people, then it’s his issue…not mine.
We sent my cousin a 100 dollar cheque for his 18th birthday and the only way we knew he got it was it got cashed. Not even a thank you! Suffices to say he hasn’t had a gift since!
