      I know that I am late but I wanted to chime in on this.

      I live in southeastern Vermont.

      My home was purchased for 120,000
      I have a subsidized mortgage through USDA rural development.
      I pay $568.14 per month for mortgage, taxes and house insurance.
      Car payment $160.00 per month (2001 Dodge Stratus)
      Electricity: (stove, lights, fu rnace etc) $55 per month
      Heating fuel: i paid $400.00 for 4 cord of wood
      Oil: roughly $50.00 per month
      Land line telephone $30-$40 per month (I'm shutting this off)
      Cell phone $60ish per month
      Gas for car: currently $2.78 per gallon, costs me about a tank a week traveling to and from work etc.
      Groceries:
      I buy raw milk for about $2.69 per half gallon
      fresh free range eggs $3.00 dozen
      grass fed humanely raised beef (one steak a week for about $8.00)
      other groceries for famiyl of 3, $65.00 per week.
      Trash removal: $8.00 every week
      minimal cable tv: $18.00 per month
      My salary (soon to be fortified with the salary of my significant other who will be joining us) is $30,640.00 per year. (14.84 per hour)

      I think that's all??? I also pay $415.00 per month towards debt(with a debt mgmt company, it'll be paid in full in 3.5 more years)
