I’m in San Antonio and my uncle from Sacramento just purchased a
2500 sq ft home 4 bdrm, 3.5 bath, 2 car garage for $168,000. He
says a home that size in Elk Grove (just outside of Sacramento wouldrun close to $500,000. Their gas is currently $3.04/gal and we are
$2.82. I work as a medical transcriptionist in pathology to be
exact and my coworker in CA is now making $25/hr and I am making$18/hr here in Tx. So everything is relative. And it is the same
in San Antonio as Houston, gas on one side of town can literally be
$0.10/gal more than the other side. And you know auto insurancejust like home owners insurance plays a part in the part of town you
live in as well.
Just to put this out there….We are renting a 1700 sq/ft 5 yr/oldhome, 4 bdrm, 1.5 car garage, 2.5 bath corner lot for $950.
