At the veterinary practice I work in, it is given as an oral . It is used as an injection when treating heartworm infection- not something to try at home! HTH Lisa G.

and you use just a little bit like .01 per 10#. Are you actually
injecting it? Was told this stopped heartworms. Karen

to time. You can give each dog an injection of Ivomectin (the same
type used for cattle/swine) and that will STOP any and all fleas/ticks
from bother the dogs. Most vets wont tell you about it because it
doesn’t cost a lot of money, you have to ask for it. We’ve been using
it for YEARS and have never had a single problem with it. You also
don’t have to worry about chemicals being on the dogs that could get on
a person/child.
