Asparagus helps to reduce the risk of heart disease in several ways It’s a good source of potassium to normalize blood pressure, and folate another nutrient important for heart health. It’s also rich in soluble fiber to help lower blood cholesterol levels. Asparagus also lowers cholesterol by another mechanism – saponins.

:075: Oh joy, another retarded spammer :Spammer: . Since this moron apparently can’t :rtfm: , I’ll see if I can save this thread. What can one do with Leftover Asparagus?
Chop it up & put it in an omelet the next morning for breakfast or brunch.Slice it up & add it to pasta with a creamy mushroom sauce.
Puree it into a soup or slice it really thin & mix it into a cheese sauce and serve over a baked potato.Or you could cut it into small pieces, top with goat cheese crumbles and a lite vinegrette dressing.
Spring Green Salad With Roasted Asparagus

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
3/4 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
2 tablespoons honey
1/8 teaspoon salt
Aleppo pepper flakes or freshly grond black pepper to tasteMethod
Toss the lettuces, spinach, peas, asparagus spears, onion, cheese and ramps in a large bowl.
