Olive Garden’s Pork Chops with Apples 6 pork loin chops, about 1-in thick 2 tbs vegetable oil salt 6 tart apples, such as Granny Smith, cored and thickly sliced 1/4 cup currants or raisins, optional 1 tbs lemon juice 1/4 cup brown sugar Trim the pork chops and discard any excess fat. Heat the oil a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear, turning to brown both sides. Sprinkle the pork chops with salt and place them in the slow cooker. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over the pork chops. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours, or on high 3 to 4 hours. Serves 6.
