My dad taught me to treat everyone with respect no matter their race,
religion, or whatever else makes them different from me. We live
about 35 miles from one of the poorest areas in the us (pine ridge,
sd)and my dad worked for years as a lawyer for different people and
agencies. (however, now he is a photographer, but that is a different
story. ;)) i learned that all people are the same from my dad. so now
i have a greater respect for someone who is “different” than me and i
can appreciate our differences and embrace them.
he also taught me how to drive a stick shift and that i can do
anything i put my mind to.
