HI there Yvonne. I too am a military wife so I know what you mean
about running out of ideas. Some things that I can think of off hand
are…
ramen noodles
cup-o-soup
pens
pencils
letter paper
stamps
phone cards
playing cards
a movie that has been released after he left.
A few issues of his favorite magazine(s)
a new set of dominos
if you have children then a video of the kids doing a little skit or
something else for their dad
A mini photo album of the kids and yourself and maybe some other
family members that he might be missing
Nuts of any kind
beef or turkey jerkey
dried fruit
Some pre addressed envelopes or cards with stamps on them
Crossword puzzle books
Word search books
Calvin and hobbs book or other comic strip collection he likes
Pictures drawn, colored, painted ot put together by the kids
A card from you to him
Taped episodes of his favorite shows from home
News of his favorite sports teams
OK well that’s pretty much all I can think of right now. I always
want to send homemade cookies and brownies but I worry that they
might be crumbs by the time they make it there. That or melted!
lol Hope that helps you a bit. Anything that you send will
definitly brighten his day and make him thankful that he’s got a
great support system at home. I hope he comes home soon!
