Need Help getting rid of Fruit Flies

I have this ongoing problem because of the worm bin in my kitchen.

When I say problem I dont mean swarms of flies I mean I get the fruit flies.

How I get rid of them is I have a cleaned out spagetti sauce jar, i take a small nail and a hammer and pop 8 small holes in the lid and fill the jar 1/2 or les full of cider vinegar.

You can use wine as well if you dont have vinegar. Pun or 2 drops of dish soap in it and put the lid on. The holes have to be big enough to let the fruit flies in but not too big or they can get back out.

Thy smell the vinegar (in my case) go in the jar, get stuck and either fly around till they drop or they drown.

In an average week I usually catch them all this way. Empty the jar down the toilet, rinse it out and fill it with the vinegar (or wine) and dish soap again and voila….

Make a trap with a empty water bottle. You cut it in
half and place bait in it. flip the top over onto the
bottom half and tape the edges.

When you get a bunch
in the trap. You fill it up with water that will drown
the flies. Just pour them out.

You rinse it out and do
it over. Just keep doing it until there is no more.
Use several traps and make sure you clean them out
daily. For bait use a piece of citrus fruit.
