Need Help getting rid of Fruit Flies

We use three tricks to get rid of fruit-flies when they decide to

invade our house:

1. Vacuum with a hose. Just suck the little buggers right out of the

air when you get a cloud of them. The force of the suction kills them.

2. Put out small bowls with tiny amounts of sweet wine or vinegar. Put

a small drop of dishwashing detergent on your finger and barely touch

it to the liquid. This gets rid of the surface tension and they drown

when they come down to get some. (The wine isn’t a good idea if you

have pets who enjoy alcohol…as my dh & I found out the hard way.)

3. Pour near-boiling bleach-water down the drains and into the garbage

disposal if you have one. Eggs hide in there and that cleans them out

pretty well.
