      I agree that buying more than you can use before it spoils is wasteful; however, due to my DH’s medical condition I buy the recommended amount he should eat and either come up with extras if he doesn’t eat as many as recommended or short if/when the teens eat more bananas than I anticipated. It truly is a “best guestimate thing” and I use the leftover ones for banana bread or smoothies to avoid thowing them away. I was simply looking for additional ideas to use them for variety sake and I thank you for your input/ideas. Elizabeth

Personally, I think my favorite way to use a banana is sliced on top of a bowl of Cheerios, or just plain by itself at lunch……. Don’t pick lemons.
