Navy Beans and Polish Sausage
1-lb bag navy beans — 99 cents
1-lb pkg Polish sausage, sliced in 1/2-inch pieces — 99 cents
1 onion, chopped — 24 cents
1 clove garlic — 16 cents
1 can Rotel (your choice of intensity) — $1
1 cup broth (homemade) — 0 cents
water –0 cents
salt and pepper to taste — 2 cents
loaf of French or Italian bread, toasted — 99 cents
Dump the beans into the crockpot.
Add broth, Rotel, and enough water to cover the beans and two inches above. Cook on low for 10 hours. Add Polish sausage, onion, and garlic.
Stir to blend well and continue to cook on low for six hours. Salt and pepper to taste. Toast bread.
