ParticipantWe had a battle with it this past week, first the kids, now myself.
Actually, most cases of strep throat will resolve themselves in 3-7 with or
without treatment.Personally, I don’t believe in running to the doctor for antibiotics
unless it is truly necessary. What I use on my own children and am currently
using on myself is an ascorbic acid flush. (Ascorbic acid is simply vitamin
C in powder form.I got my bottle at walmart, it lasts years).
I use 1/2 tsp of ascorbic acid powder in 1/4 c. of OJ or warm water every
30 minutes until saturation is reached. (1/2 tsp = 1,000 milligrams).
Saturation point is when you begin to have diarrhea.Count the number of
tsps needed to get to this point, subtract 1 from that amount and the the
resulting ascorbic acid drink every 4 hours for 1 – 2 days. (Your stool will
retain a tapioca-like consistency during this time. If it becomes too
watery, decrease dosage.)This works great for getting rid of bacterial infections such as strep.
Then again, I’m not a doc, I just prefer herbal & or homeopathic remedies to
antibiotics- which tend to upset the bodies natural chemistry- causing yeast
infections, etc.Not to mention- it’s a helluva lot cheaper.
