In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased (or parchment paper lined) cookie sheets. bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown. (I baked mine at 325 for about 10 minutes). Remove to a wire rack to cool.
