      Homemade Gatorade

      SERVES 4 , 32 Ounces

      Ingredients:

      2 cups water

      2 cups juice, your choice

      2 teaspoons sugar, depending on sweetness of juice (optional)

      1/4 teaspoon citric acid ( food grade, sold in most drug stores)

      1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

      Directions:

      Combine all ingredients in a non reactive container

      Refrigerate.

      Homemade Gatorade

      Recipe 1

      10 tbs. sugar (5/8 cups or 120 grams)

      .5 tsp table salt (2.8 grams)

      .5 tsp Morton Lite salt (2.8 grams)

      1 package of unsweetened Coolade mix for flavor

      Water to make 2 liters

      The composition for this recipe is:

      14.2 grams carbohydrate (6%)

      104 mg Sodium

      40 mg Potassium

      53 calories

      1/2 cup orange juice or 2 tbs. of lemon juice

      9 tbs. Sugar

      3/8 tsp Salt

      Water to 2 liters

      The corresponding composition is:

      14.4 grams carb (6.1%)

      104 mg sodium

      28.4 mg Potassium
