Liss
KeymasterMost diaper pails have a place for a deodorant disk in the lid. You can make those disks yourself. You will need:
distilled or boiled water
baking soda
your choice of essential oils
a muffin pan
paper muffin cupsAdd a few drops of essential oil to a small amount of water. Mix the water with 2 cups of baking soda. Mix well. Gradually add and mix more water until you have a thick paste. Press about ?” of paste into each muffin paper and let dry 24 hours. Tear the paper off. After you’ve used each disk for a month or so (however long you find it effective), crumble the disk into the diaper wash. Baking soda deodorizes and softens the diapers.

I would think this would depend on how much deodorizing you would want, if you need extra deodorizing you could fill it 1/2 to 3/4 full to give you more once it is broken up. Hope this helps

I wish I knew this when my daughter was a baby. I looked everywhere for the disk but never found them. Do they even sell them separately?

I had that ame problem when my daughter was little, which is why I pushed this one up from the past (so to speak). Little tips like this can save a lot.

Another good thing to use for odor absorption is activated charcol. I’ve seen the discs at Wal-mart and it also comes in powdered form.
