    …is not looking too good…

    per the recipe I found last night —

    1 cup heavy cream
    1/4 cup buttermilk

    pour into container with lid and let stand 24 hours on counter.

    (to make buttermilk — 1 cup milk plus 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice)

    it’s not solid at all…and it’s kind of gray.

    2nd attempt turned out perfectly! (used real buttermilk and not “myo” buttermilk)

    making my 3rd batch tonight… will be ready tomorrow. 🙂

    I was just about to say that this is like your “Heavy Cream Cake” , you can’t MYO buttermilk and have it work properly.
