Ok I went through my house tonight made my first ever inventory of what I had and came up with enough stuff to last till the 2nd of Feb. Which is good because we get paid on the 3rd. We only have my freezer for the refrig right now so I don’t have a lot on stock.

I’m going to list the first week then next week list the rest. Here goes……..

19th – salmon cakes, green beans, potatoes
20th- breakfast foods- eggs, sausage, gravy and biscuits
      21st-steakums with homemade sub rolls
22nd-hamburgers and fries (we have this once a week just about to curb my daughters craving for mcds)
23rd-chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, corn and rolls
24th-hot dogs and mac n cheese (my daughter loves this but my boyfriend hates it so I am making him homemade buns for his hotdogs)

      Great menu!

Homemade hamburgers are much better than McD’s anyday!
My hubby makes great cheeseburgers and we usually have home fries as well.

Sometimes we make stuffed cheeseburgers. We stuff a cheese cube(whatever type you like) or you can ball up some shredded cheese and use that. Just shape your meat around it to seal.

I learned this from Mr. Food. I was getting his magazine, but after I got only one issue it was discontinued!

Stuffed burgers sound good. I usually cook mine on the george foreman and toast the buns then we add mustard, ketchup, pickles, and myo mcdonalds onions. Tastes pretty much like the real thing only thing she misses is the toy lol

Yes it does, just looking at what we had I was afraid we weren’t going to make it to payday. But after doing the menu, I realized we had more than I thought.

Wow, all that from what you have on hand? I’m impressed, and inspired. I’ve been shopping with my coupons but haven’t really taken inventory.

I think I’ll try again with a menu plan. Thanks for the inspiration
