We’ve switched to Natural Essential Oils for overall whole health. Here’s a great painkiller recipe. Regarding the capsules- you can buy empty gel capsules at the health food store or here on amazon.
5 drops of frankincense essential oil
5 Drops of copaiba essential oil
5 drops idaho balsam essential oiltake the capsule apart, drop in the essential oils, then put the capsule back together and take it.
feeling wise- this is about equivalent to a 10mg oxycodone maximum & lasts 3 -4 hour’s. If you do not have capsules, put directly on your feet, (neet is what it is called).
I have a friend who has fibromyalgia and she uses this combination of oils and it works for her. Be sure that you’re using Essential oils and NEVER Fragrance oils.Attachments:

Thank you for sharing the recipe, It’s important to note that not all essential oils are created equally & many are NOT edible due to the process in which they are derived. Be sure that you’re purchasing QUALITY oils and using a carrier oil as well.

This looks like it would be worth a try.
- October 20, 2015 at 2:36 pm #459993LissI have no doubt that the combination works for pain relief because I personally use it, but pay close attention to the brand of oil you’re consuming.
Copaiba , Frankincense & Balsam (Idaho) Fir are all certified as Generally Safe for Consumption as Food Additives (aka, by mouth) by the FDA (according to Essential Oils Desk Reference Sixth Edition page 48)
I make these capsules and take them and we also use this same blend neat or in fractionated coconut oil as a pain reliever (massage). It works a treat! Be sure that you’re using quality oils, such as young living, the other brands contain fillers or use altogether different plants that do not contain the same properties.
Here’s another method you can use if you don’t want to take it internally. I take 1 Tbs of Fractionated Coconut Oil (depending on how large of an area needs to be treated), then add 10 drops of each of the above listed essential oils. Massage into the pain afflicted area as well as on the soles of the feet. Apply clean cotton socks to the feet.It works within a few minutes and the relief (or so I’m told by my hard-working blue-collar other half) is that the relief lasts about 5 hours or so.

- November 13, 2015 at 12:29 am #462470AndreaGwynI would love to try this but the cost of those oils that you put in the link is damn scary for this disabled person on a broken shoestring budget. Any tips on finding less expensive quality oils?

DO NOT USE CHEAP OILS INTERNALLY. They are Adulterated!!! That is absolutely NOT SAFE. You get what you pay for. - January 14, 2016 at 5:53 pm #462753beckybokel

DoTerra essential oils is also another brand of oils sage for oral consumption.

oops safe. If you aren’t sure only use them on the skin with coconut oil as a carrier for the oils. Also grapeseed oil, light olive oil, safflower oil, peanut oil etc.
can be used as carrier oils to massage into the skin. - September 22, 2016 at 7:13 am #463240kparker46350
first off do your own research. use only oils you trust. even if you chose not to ingest them still get the best you can because what you use on your skin becomes part of you. I personally use doTERRA essential oils.
that is my choice not everyones.
I do 6 drops of frankincense to 6 drops of Oregano or Thyme in a capsule every 6 to 8 hours for severe pain.the rule of thumb is little bit more often. the oils are usually metabolized by your body withing about an hour or so. and thats for internal, topical, and aromatic ways of using them.

There’s no way of knowing that given her sensitivity to so many medications- your best bet would be to seek out a naturopathic dr and ask them. - August 21, 2017 at 5:57 pm #464267tessvowels
