This stuffing doesn’t go in the turkey but I cannot not make it every thanksgiving or my kids would disown me.
5 lbs. white potatoes 1 cup diced onion 1 cup diced celery 1 to 2 Tbs. poultry seasoning (more or less to suit your taste) salt and pepper 1 large egg 5 or 6 slices white or whole wheat bread, moistened with water and wrung out
Peel and boil like mashed taters, add butter and small amount of milk. Add rest of ingredients and mix well. Put half into baking dish and cook in 350 oven for 30 minutes. Put other half in bowl and refrigerate til ready to serve.
There are those who like both ways and those who like one or the other.
