Mixes etc.

Making mixes, I have found, saves money as well as time. You spend a few minutes and a few dollars getting all the ingrediants together, but most already have everything or most everything already on hand. You mix and store and when you need it, it's half done.

I'm not buying one mix for biscuits, another for pancakes or digging everything out to make coffee cake or cookies… the work is already half done so easier to make up spare of the moment and it all comes from one mix, not 4 or 5 different boxes full of junk chemicals and such.

I have several kinds of flours, sugars, baking soda, powder, spices and herbs, vanilla, baking chocolate, chocolate chips, oats, dried pasta, dried beans, honey… whatever I can from the gardens, dried herbs, oh my, pretty much whatever my family eats we store (stock)… I try and grow as much as I can due to kids allergies…I dry, freeze or can everything I grow.

I know there's more, can't think this morning..lol
