I keep pasta, pasta sauces, tomatoes, canned beans, dry beans, fruit (canned), vegetables (frozen) on hand. I pick up meat when it is on sale. I also keep canned tuna, cans of chicken breast on hand.
Flour, sugar, brown sugar (though sometimes it gets BRICK hard while sitting), some bottled water – for emergencies (power outages, storms, etc.).
If worse comes to worse, we eat pasta and/or beans for days. There are several ways to make it different day to day. Also, spaghetti & a sauce, with a veggie on the side is a quick and simple dinner to make after work or a day spent out and about with my family.Herlean
